MicroVal has approved the issuing of a certificate for the validation study of GENE-UP® Enterobacterales (EB) method, developed by bioMérieux. The method is designed for the rapid detection of Enterobacterales, including Enterobacteriaceae, in sensitive matrices such as infant cereals, infant formula (with or without probiotics), and production environmental samples.
The validation was carried out by ADRIA, in accordance with the latest ISO 16140-2 standard and its 2024 amendment. The study covered both food products and environmental samples, reflecting the broad application scope of the method.
The GENE-UP EB method is based on real-time PCR technology and includes key steps such as enrichment, DNA extraction, and detection using a dedicated thermocycler. Positive PCR results are confirmed using culture-based techniques, ensuring alignment with the reference method ISO 21528-1.
The certificate and the detailed summary report, number 2023LR128, are available on our website.
